Ha ha I fixed it!!
Ha! I fixed my blackberry so the blog app works now! Smarter then I look I am, I am.
The pics you see below are from a place in Peterborough my friend Kribby recommended. The place is called Whistle stop cafe. They have a poutine bar, with over 50 types of poutine. They even got vegetarian poutine and I think I saw vegan poutine on there to if I remember right. I was more interested in the meaty ones though. This one had chicken and bacon, fried onions and mushrooms. It was awesome in a box. I definitely want to hit that place again. It’s probably a good thing I don’t live in peterborough or I’d be eating there a lot!

What Trev Eats Is Back Online: Yay Chili!!
Well folks it has been quite sometime since I have posted on here. Recently I’ve had a few things to eat that I managed to take pics of that I tried to upload with my blackberry but the wordpress app stopped working on the berry so I’m back to uploading from the computer. I really need to invest in a real camera but that will happen when it happens.
Today I made something that I had to post about. Something that so far looks and smells amazing. It should be well worthy of my first post in months!
This morning (well noonish) I got the old slow cooker out and prepared my first chili concoction ever.
For some entertainment while I was preparing, I put on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers greatest hits as a soundtrack.
These are the ingredients and how I prepared it. Pictures will follow.
1. Fried up 1lb of ground beef in a pan, til browned.
2. Cut up 1 green pepper and 1 spanish onion and fried these up in a pan as well to caramelize them.
3. Cut up a 297 gram package of sliced mushrooms.
4. Put the ground beef, onions, green pepper, and mushrooms in the pot and mixed.
5. Cut up roughly a 1lb of stewing beef into smaller pieces and added it to the pot.
(So with the ground beef that’s 2lbs of meat)
6. Added 2 cans of diced red pepper seasoned tomatoes
7. 1 can of red kidney beans
8. 1 can of pinto beans
9. 1 can of tomato soup
10. Filled the tomato soup can with water and added
11. Added 2 teaspoons of minced garlic.
12. Added roughly a half teaspoon of each of the following spices: Red pepper, Chili powder and ground black pepper.
13. Mixed all together in the slow cooker and turned it on low for 6 hours.
Currently we’re only 2 hours in so I haven’t got to taste it yet so I will update with a comment later. So far it smells amazing and looks mind blowing!
Take a look at the pics below

Pork Ribs!
Hello, hello. I haven’t updated in quite some time. I know I am a bad bad blogger but what can ya do. Haven’t really been in the mood to write all that much lately, but I shall try to get back at it. Definitely mean to get back to writing stories so hopefully I can motivate myself to blog more often. I have been taking some pics of different stuff I have ate. I’ll have to go through them and do some random posts soon. Hopefully there will be a small field trip with my friend to a local Gourmet grocery store soon, which I had to bail on this week cuz I was sick. There should be some purchases there that I’ll definitely have to post on. Speaking of my friend check out her AWESOME!!!! food blog at http://whatifeedmyhusband.ca/
It is crazy amazing the food she creates. Very lucky Husband!
Next time I’m invited out there for dinner, we’ll have to arrange a cross blog post!!!
Anywhoo you might just see the title of this post is “Pork Ribs!”
I must say my slow cooker is my new favorite appliance, up there with the deep fryer and the coffee maker (speaking of “coffee maker” I ordered something online that once I receive I’ll have to post on too. It should make my home coffee experiences much more tasty). Below are the pics of said experiment. I cut up a whole onion, through in some baby carrots, a cup of barbecue sauce, and a table spoon of chili powder, let it cook on low for 8 hours and after smothered them in rib sauce! The meat came off like nothing and it made my stomach happy I must say. Here are the pics.

@$#%
That’s right the title of this is a 4 letter word! Its “Diet”! This past week to try to start eating somewhat healthy I went on an eating plan. It was a very strict eating plan that had me eating the same thing day in and out. I also had to drink approx nine 600ml bottles of water throughout the day. I only did this for a week. The real eating plan if I had followed it, would have been 3 weeks. But I want to be able to drink like a champ on my b-day so I settled for 4 days just to try it. The eating plan title was lose 15lbs in 21 days. Its suppose to boost your energy levels and your metabolism. Basically it was eating smaller meals through out the day. I might try the full plan down the road but for now I’m back to eating what I want.
Below you will find the pics of what I had to eat through out the day. Each measured out to specifications. The first meal before work was oatmeal and a banana or oatmeal and a orange. The second meal is an apple. Third meal consist of rice, chick and squash. The third meal is celery and peanut butter. I substituted the peanut butter with natural almond butter for most of the days and it was good. The fourth meal, supper, consisted of zucchini, fish, salad, and asparagus. The last meal is berries. Didn’t matter what kind of berries, just a cup worth.
So after the 4 days I was down about 5 pounds, which was probably water weight, and learned that I can motivate myself to stick to making something for breakfast lunch dinner, and snacks for the day. So I’ll probably try to do that more often for work
Anyhoo here are the pics.

Chef boy R G!
This Weekend I went to Peterborough to visit zee Peterborough Peeps. I must say fun was had all weekend got some good visiting time in, managed to drink half a bottle of vodka in a half hour then go see Avatar in 3D. Gotta say great movie, and the sober people that have seen it agree. Anyhoo this ain’t a movie blog it’s a FOOOOOOD Blog! And food was indeed had.
Below is the dinner my buddy G prepared Friday night. (Thanks again Sir, it was excellent)Â It started off with a spinach salad, then the main course was Penne Pasta with a very carefully prepared tomato sauce, that had many spices, onion, and chicken. I’m sure there was other stuff too but can’t think off hand. I may remember mushrooms but I may remember wrong as I tend to do at times, as weekends tend to go by in a blurr, that and I may have had a few of those kawartha lakes beers shown with my dinner
Anyhooooooo, here be some pics!

Perogie Kick
Well unfortunately I didn’t take any pics of dinner at my parents but what I did over the weekend was cook up some greasyness. By the title you might think I have created a new martial arts move, but sadly no. I have just been cooking perogies more often. The first pics are a dish I did up with baked beans and perogies. I fried up the perogies with onions and bacon. Baked a can of beans and through it on top of the perogies, kinda worked like a gravy. It tasted pretty good I must say.
The second set of pics involve perogies in a way also. Sunday I picked up a slow-cooker, it was 60% off so I got it cheap. So Monday morning I chopped up some onions, potatoes, garlic, and a green pepper. Put it all in the slow cooker with some baby carrots, then I stuck a big old beef roast in the middle. I let it all cook for about 6 hours. As a side I fried up some perogies once more. I also did up some mushroom gravy. So on the plate there is roast beef, veggies, perogies, smothered in mushroom gravy.
As a friend of mine would say, I’m turning into a fat kid!

NEWFIE FRIESSSSS!!!!!
I thought this one deserved it’s own post, as it is my favorite greasy treat to make. I can’t do it too often cuz it makes me want to sleep for a week afterward. A friend once told me of this magnificent creation called Newfie Fries. Originating in Newfoundland, I’m assuming. This is what is it is my friends. Deep fried fries with turkey stuffing, peas and gravy. Me not being a big fan of peas I usually decide to throw some meat in there. I happened to have some left over turkey that I had frozen so I heated that up and threw it in instead of peas.
(Don’t worry I get to work off a couple of the pounds I may have put on in the last couple weeks, by doing the CN Tower climb tomorrow after work. Pasta for lunch tomorrow for sure!)
Although this heavenly meal may look like someone threw up on a plate, it is actually Earth Shattering, Mind numbing Greatness on a plate!!!
Ya see my friends you can’t always judge things by how they look. Give me for example, I ‘m the shy quiet looking guy much of the time, but once ya get to know me ya realize I’m Bat Shit crazy. Ya see ya can’t always judge by looks.
See some pics I took while cooking up the Greatness below.
